I See The Light

Last night I went to see Disney’s latest (and 50^th) animated feature “Tangled”. Although it’s not an instant classic like say “The Little Mermaid”, “Beauty and the Beast” or “The Lion King”, I still found it thoroughly entertaining. It’s an interesting take on the story of Rapunzel, with some loveable characters (the leads of course being voiced by the lovely Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi). I mean, tell me you don’t want a little chameleon like Pascal after that! To top it all off, I even cried at the end. Yes, yes – I know that it’s not all that unusual for me to get all emotional while watching a moving. But lately I just seem to be über emotional.

My favourite moment in the movie however is the scene where Rapunzel and Flynn are in a little boat on the river, watching all the flying lanterns being set free. Mandy and Zachary (who actually has a really good voice!) sing this beautiful song called “I See The Light”. And I guess it just struck a chord with me because it feels somewhat relevant at the moment. Of course, none of this means anything to you if you haven’t seen the movie or heard the song.
